i am a song in the deep forest, i am a song high in the sky in the blue air,
i am wind on stormy waters, i am dust in sunlight, i am sand on the farawy shores

i love silence - all sounds can be heard, words be seen and songs felt in the heart
my heart is open to the sun, my senses open to the winds

my heart, tell me where to go because my eyes do not know; my heart, tell me: are wishes enough to keep me on my way?

—-

ma olen laul
keset sügavat laant
habras ja õrn
nagu hommikul maad paitav päikesekiir
ma olen laul
kõrgel taevas
sinavas õhus
hõiskan päikese poole

R: mu süda, ütle, mida sa näed
mu silmad ei tea ju veel
mu süda, ütle, kas soovide väest
piisab, et hoida mind teel
mu süda, üle, kuhu mind viid
mu süda, õrn ja kindel kui liblikatiib

ma olen tuul
tormisel veel
laineid lükkan
vahuseid randa
ma olen tuul
minu ees
lainete harjadel
palju on kanda

R

ma olen tolm
päikesesäras
tuulel mind kanda
on kerge ja hea
ma olen liiv
kaugemal kaldal
mind meri ja tuul
ei tunne ei tea

R

armastan vaikust
kõik helid on kuulda
kõik sõnad on näha
ja südames laulud on tunda
mu süda on lahti päikese poole
mu meeled on avali tuulte poole

Friends in Paris and Ile-de-France: if you happen to cross the Festival of Europe 2013 in Bois-le-Roi this weekend (18-19 May 2013), you will find me singing the traditional songs (regilaul) with some friends in the Estonian tent! Whoot!

Living Wall

These vegetated surfaces don’t just look pretty. They have other benefits as well, including cooling city blocks, reducing loud noises, and improving a building’s energy efficiency. What’s more, a recent modeling study shows that green walls can potentially reduce large amounts of air pollution in what’s called a “street canyon,” or the corridor between tall buildings.

For the study, Thomas Pugh, a biogeochemist at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany, and his colleagues created a computer model of a green wall with generic vegetation in a Western European city. Then they recorded chemical reactions based on a variety of factors, such as wind speed and building placement.

The simulation revealed a clear pattern: A green wall in a street canyon trapped or absorbed large amounts of nitrogen dioxide and particulate matter—both pollutants harmful to people, said Pugh. Compared with reducing emissions from cars, little attention has been focused on how to trap or take up more of the pollutants, added Pugh, whose study was published last year in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

That’s why the green-wall study is “putting forward an alternative solution that might allow [governments] to improve air quality in these problem hot spots,” he said.Compared with reducing emissions from cars, little attention has been focused on how to trap or take up more of the pollutants, added Pugh, whose study was published last year in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.

have you ever felt like you give it all but you get nothing back? or you give in too easily because you suddenly don’t believe that you deserve only the very best?

having heard some of my friends’ stories and adding my own life, i suddenly found this song from my mind.

and after waiting for a second verse to come for a couple of days, and then for another verse and what not… i suddenly understood that this song wants to be out there, now. maybe it’s still open; maybe it can still change, but… the message is here. i hope you feel related, any of you who might listen to this.

and always remember: you deserve the best; you deserve what you decide is the best for you. you deserve respect and sincerity. you deserve to be loved for you. if you believe you deserve sincerity, then never take any less than sincerity, and so on. but be forgiving… sometimes people need a little time to learn. yet, if they don’t want to learn, let them go.

the song lyrics:

You’re asking me to make up your mind for you
And you’re hoping someone else will find your treasures for you
There’s just so much that I can say
They don’t give true love every day
So if you think you’ve found it, keep your hold

'Cause only you know what makes you smile
'Cause only you know who's worth your while
And there’s nothing I can say
And nothing I can do
The one who’s got the answers is you

If you think that love is just a game, then don’t try
And if it’s driving you insane, then don’t cry
There’s just so much that I can say
You don’t find true love every day
So if they don’t respect you, let them go

'Cause only you know…
