moving over. August 25, 2011
i used to live on tumblr with my own domain. but after a few months of procrastinating and about one month of conceptual and actual work, i'm here now. starting from today, tumblelog is just a tumblelog and www.haldjas.org is here. now.
this place's bonestructure is called Edicy and it's a wonderful website creating system. dreamed and born in Estonia (like all good things!) and spreading all over the world in many different languages. want a website? look them up; it's simple. and it's beautiful. and with some knowledge of HTML and CSS you can actually do miracles on your own. well... for a monthly/yearly fee, then - but hey! it's worth it. they take care of your site's maintenance, you don't have to worry about servers or renting space or anything. it's done for you. that's what i did. i used to rent a server. until i just got tired... and wanted to concentrate on actually creating my photos and music and words... instead of constantly playing a high-level-strategical-webmaster. i still play around with DNS and coding, but this Edicy thing looks bloody pretty without so much effort.
and it inspires me, too :)
i didn't want to dive into a whole new create-a-fresh-design-in-Photoshop odyssey, so i just took one of Edicy's default skin and tweaked it a bit. the original was like that and i blended it with some of its sister design and some ideas of my own. and now it's green and lovely. like it? i do for sure :)
